So like what’s the deal with mining?

I checked with a pretty decent computer on the nicehash website and we saw something like .03 USD as an payout for a days worth of mining. This does not equate with the Quora pundits promises of $3 USD payouts for a day of the program running. Maybe a full Linux boot up with a solid intent net connection and cooling fans could be able to make the average profitability higher or is this a mistake on the profitability calculator. Anyone out there know what needs to be done to make some coin off of the BTC mining wagon. 

The program itself is very cool and runs well that's for sure.

So let us know what it takes to make a comfortable side job living or more from BTC mining and hopefully from nicehash.
