The weird thing that gives me herbal satisfaction...

(plus 4 ways to boost your immune system) ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Ya know?

I have learned how to use the healing herbs that grow around me in the wild.

I have learned how to make medicine with the plants I grow.

However, for some weird reason, I get a lot of satisfaction knowing how to turn the produce aisle of any grocery store into my herbal apothecary.

Onions, thyme, mint, sage, garlic, rosemary, lemons, turmeric, cayenne... there are so many options!

Out of these many amazing herbs, the one I probably have used the most is ginger.

Though ginger has many healing uses, I've used it mostly for respiratory, immune building, and cold prevention reasons. A review published in June of 2021 concluded that an anti-inflammatory diet that included ginger is beneficial for preventing upper respiratory viral infections.

  • Why should you use ginger?
  • Do you use ginger fresh or dried?
  • What are the most simple remedies you can make with ginger?

The Ginger Miso Soup is delicious, and something that you can use all winter to stay healthy.

In addition, fresh ginger honey is an excellent way to soothe a sore throat!

Ginger is a great first herb to add to your supermarket apothecary. It's empowering to know these tips when you travel as well.

Stay warm!
