ניסינו כל מה שאפשר. עשינו השתדלות, עברנו תהליכים, קיבלנו עצות, שמענו הבטחות, אבל בכל פעם מחדש התקווה נעלמה.
באחת התקופות הקשות ביותר, שמעתי משכנה על ערכת הנרות של רחל אמנו וחנה הצדקת. היא סיפרה לי על הכוח המיוחד של שתי הנשים הקדושות הללו, שגם הן היו עקרות, שפכו דמעות וזכו לישועה גדולה מעל הטבע. משהו בזה נגע לי ישר בלב. הרגשתי שאולי גם אצלי הגיע הזמן להדליק אור חדש.
באותו ערב הדלקתי את הנרות מהערכה ואמרתי את תפילת חנה לאט, מילה אחרי מילה. לא ידעתי כבר מה לבקש ואיך לבקש. פשוט עמדתי מול הנרות ובכיתי כמו שלא בכיתי שנים. ביקשתי מהקב״ה שיזכור אותי לטובה, שיראה את הדמעות שלי, ושייתן לי סוף סוף להחזיק ילד בידיים.
מאותו רגע הרגשתי שמשהו בי השתנה. עדיין לא ידעתי מה עומד לקרות, אבל נכנסה לי ללב שלווה חדשה. הרגשתי שיש מי ששומע, שיש מי שמלווה אותי, ושגם אחרי שנים ארוכות של המתנה, שערי ישועה עדיין פתוחים.
כמה חודשים לאחר מכן קיבלנו את הבשורה שחיכינו לה כל כך הרבה שנים. אבל ההפתעה הגדולה הייתה כשהרופא חייך ואמר: “יש כאן לא אחד, יש שניים!”
לא הצלחתי לדבר. רק בכיתי. אחרי שנים של תפילות, זכינו לתאומים.
היום, כשאני מסתכלת על שני התינוקות שלנו, אני יודעת שהנרות האלו היו עבורי רגע של פתיחת שער. רגע שבו הדמעות שלי התחברו לזכות של רחל אמנו וחנה הצדקת, ומשם התחילה הישועה שלנו.

כאשר כהן מביט על המציאות, הוא משתדל לראות את התמונה הגדולה. במקום להתמקד רק בקשיים של הרגע, הוא מחפש כיצד כל אירוע משתלב בתוכנית האלוקית. מבט כזה מעניק יציבות, אמונה ואחריות.
חז"ל לימדו שהכהנים הם אנשי חסד ושלום. ברכת הכהנים מסתיימת במילים: "וְיָשֵׂם לְךָ שָׁלוֹם." אין זו רק ברכה לשלום בין אדם לחברו, אלא שלום פנימי, שלום במשפחה, שלום בעם ישראל ושלום בין האדם לבוראו.

הכהן נקרא להיות אדם הרואה למרחוק. הוא מחנך, מברך, מדריך ומעודד. הוא מחפש את הטוב שבכל יהודי ומאמין שבכל אדם קיימת נשמה קדושה היכולה לגדול ולהאיר.
גם בזמננו, כאשר אין לנו עדיין בית מקדש בנוי, שליחותו הרוחנית של הכהן ממשיכה. כל לימוד תורה, כל ברכת כהנים, כל מעשה חסד וכל חיזוק באמונה הם המשך של אותה שליחות עתיקה שהחלה במדבר ונמשכת עד היום.

During the three weeks it is a custom to read everyday the Tikkun Rachel in order to make an amazing way to achieve the peace and tranquility that Hashem promises will eventually arrive during these “tough times” and if we are truly careful to only be good and only build the future of the Jewish people during these times and give to them each and everyday then there really will be a time when all armies are just used for good such as agriculture, government services, public services and more and more.
